(March 21st to April 19th)
You need a bottle of wine to come home to at the end of your work day. You like to reward yourself for a job well done, but around the holidays it happens in the opposite order, you need the reward first to do the job well. Have a glass of wine at the end of your work day, or a whole bottle to get you through this week.
(April 20th to May 21st)
You need to go shopping (for yourself). The holidays are a time for giving, but when a Taurus feels particularly unmotivated the last work week before the holidays, they need a little retail therapy. Your motivation to get through this work week is a pair of velvet knee-high boots that will take a significant chunk out of your next paycheck.
(May 22nd to June 21st)
You need to go to a pilates class and sweat it out. Between gift shopping, family parties, and decorating trees, you’re stressed AF, and you need a release. You’re worn out at work, and you really feel like crashing on the couch when you get home, but you’ll feel so much more energized if you get your butt to the gym.
(June 22nd to July 22nd)
You need to go to your mom and dad’s house for a good home-cooked meal. You’re probably going to see them for the holidays, but you need them now more than ever. You love the comfort of your family, and they’re just the motivation you need to get you through the work week.
(July 23rd to August 22nd)
You need to remember that there will be a holiday work party with an open bar at the end of your week, and if there isn’t, take yourself out when the week is over. You’re most likely going to be the life of the party, and you’re probably the only reason anyone else even enjoys going. Use the party as motivation to get through your week.
(August 23rd to September 22nd)
You need to meditate. You probably haven’t gotten much sleep the past month because you can’t stop thinking about what gift to get each person you know, and your brain is really really tired of worrying. Take some deep breaths, listen to a meditation podcast each night, become aware of your thoughts, do what you need to do to zen out.
(September 23rd to October 22nd)
You need to get dinner and drinks with your friends every night this week. You hate to be alone, and going home at the end of your work day alone this last week before the holidays literally makes you want to cry. Surround yourself with people constantly this last week, and it won’t feel so long.
(October 23rd to November 22nd)
You need to plan a holiday party. You like to take the lead and you like things to be done your way. You’d rather go through the trouble of throwing a holiday party yourself, than attending someone else’s. Use your planning obsession to get you through this work week. Every night take on a new detail that will make your party special.
(November 23rd to December 21st)
You need to take a vacation after the holidays and use that as motivation to get through them. Traveling energizes you, whether it’s a short road trip, or flying halfway across the globe, go indulge your explorative side when the holidays are over.
(December 22nd to January 20th)
You need to buy a new planner for 2018 and organize all of your goals. You’ll probably want to make it color-coded so make sure you have markers. The best way for you to motivate yourself is to hunker down and get focused. Get it all on paper and organize your little heart away.
(January 21st to February 18th)
You need to read the works of Nietzsche or Socrates (or your other favorite philosopher). To get you through this week you’re going to need wisdom from the wise. Let their words inspire you to make it to the weekend.
(February 19th to March 20th)
You need to volunteer. Whether it’s reading holidays stories to the children at your local library, or feeding the homeless, to get you through this work week you need to give your time and energy to those who truly need it. Your compassion is your greatest quality, and helping others ALWAYS makes you feel better.
