So, why is it so important that we take what others say or believe so seriously? How do we know that anything others say is factual? Why is it that we want to so badly please others?

I would bet that you genuinely cannot remember the last time you treated yourself. But, I am equally as confident that you can quickly recall the last time you did something nice for someone else
