Blue is the Warmest Color has been deemed ineligible at the Oscars because of a stupid role that shows how archaic the whole system is. I know it can’t even be nominated for anything, but it’s fucking stupid and wrong, going against the entire point of the Academy. The Oscars are supposed to highlight the best of the year in cinema, and you can’t do that if you force out one of the year’s best movies, denying it the press that would get it the attention it deserves.
