With every movie getting out of 12 Years a Slave’s way, there was talk of Scorsese’s new movie getting pushed back to 2014. The studio also wanted cuts of what promises to be a three-hour-long movie, but they struck a deal that allowed the movie to get released on Christmas. And what a Christmas miracle it will be. Scorsese has yet to make a bad movie, and Wolf looks like the most fun he’s had in awhile — After Hours for the financial crisis. It won’t win, but I can’t wait to see Scorsese give McQueen a run for his money. The race is on.
