11. Bride Wars/Something Borrowed
Here’s a twofer brought to you by Kate Hudson. In a Kate Hudson movie, there’s no female friend so awesome that she can’t be discarded when the right man comes along. Bride Wars stages this as a middle-school catfight over the perfect wedding date, when a double wedding would clearly fix everything. However, Something Borrowed is worse. It argues that Ginnifer Goodwin is entitled to her best friend’s boyfriend, simply because she had a connection with him first. When her friend gets in the way of that, she’s as disposable as an old tissue. As long as you get the guy, nothing else matters.
