Enough Said is one of the great sleeper pleasures of the year, a movie that just gets more wonderful and intoxicating as it lingers in the memory. Nicole Holofcener is our generation’s Woody Allen, and she uses her prodigious gifts as a writer-director to chronicle the difficulties of falling in love, especially when you’re old enough to know better. On top of Julia Louis Dreyfus’ first film role in decades, it marks the last appearance of James Gandolfini, who has rarely been more funny or touching. Like its star, Enough Said is a reminder of what we stand to lose when it comes to love.
