We Fall In Love In The Rain

By

It
is in
rain that I
find our peace.
I cocoon, burrowing
beneath waterproof layers of
down and nylon, hooded beyond
recognition. We pass by each other as
shadows, heads down, watching our feet
rather than the humans we surround. I sense you,
an aura of our history shrouding you in a bright
red cloak. I could spot you in a flood, a tornado,
a hurricane. I hold our passion; you hold our logic.
Our yin and yang, our complimentary colors,
our lock and key love that matches, in
the pouring rain, hidden in thick drops
that go unnoticed by those who
pass, heads down, heads
down to us.
