7 Non-Negotiables A Capricorn Needs From You In A Relationship

1. Professional ambition

Everyone knows that Capricorns are one of the most driven and ambitious signs of the Zodiac. They have borderline workaholic tendencies and are always striving for their next career advancement. If you aren’t driven in your own job, a Capricorn will find this to be a major turnoff. They might construe your lack of dedication to your work life as a sign you might be lazy and uncommitted elsewhere too (such as in your relationships). If you don’t love #thegrind, a Capricorn might not be a good match for you.

2. Unwavering loyalty

One of Capricorn’s best qualities is that they are incredibly loyal. You are going to be one of their priorities always. You’ll need to be sure you are showing them the same loyalty, too. You need to let them know you care, you’re there, and that they’re yours. If they sense that your eye is wandering, if they feel like you aren’t fully committed to them, they’ll be out the door before you can say “wait.”

3. True maturity

Capricorn’s ruling planet is Saturn, which is the planet of discipline and maturity, so if you’re not acting like a grown ass adult, you can expect a Capricorn to lose interest in you very, very quickly. You need to be communicative, conscientious, and fair. Acting otherwise is a surefire way to have your relationship blow up in both of your faces.

4. Family-oriented mindset

Family is extremely important to Capricorns, so you’ll need to keep your own (and future family) top of mind. Inviting them to meet your parents, extended family, siblings, etc. is a great way to bond with your Capricorn S.O. and show that you’re serious about them.

5. Honesty

Capricorns are incredibly honest, and they will always expect you to share your utmost truth with them (even if it hurts). A Capricorn can always tell if you’re being disingenuous. White lies won’t fly with them. If you aren’t ready to be totally candid and sincere in a relationship, then a Capricorn may not be for you (and you not for them).

6. Positivity

A Capricorn can sometimes have a pessimistic outlook on life. If you’re going to love a Capricorn, you need to be able to remind them of the good in the world and in other people. Be prepared, as they’ll resist your positive outlook at first, but eventually they’ll come around. They’ll be grateful they were able to see a situation from a different, more optimistic point of view.

7. Your own interests

Since a Capricorn is usually working on 17 different projects at once and has a million different interests, you better be ready to keep yourself busy every now and then because a Capricorn will not want to entertain you or be interrupted from their own hobbies and work. Nothing is sexier to a Capricorn than independence and drive, so if you want to make it work, just do you every now and then.
