Just So You Know, She’s Going To Be Just Fine Without You

She loved you with her whole heart, she dreamt of a life with you, she wrote you poems and songs, she made you feel brand new. You were her favorite subject in her paintings, you were her hero for you saved her from her dark past. But despite everything, you left her with no words. You just disappeared, leaving her with shattered dreams and a broken heart.

But if you think you broke her, you didn’t—you just made her stronger.

If you think she’s dying to send you a text message, she isn’t. She’s not waiting for you or craving your attention. She’s happy chatting with her friends, watching her favorite movie, and not even a bit did your name enter in her mind.

If you think she’s crying at night and blaming herself for your failed relationship, she isn’t. She sleeps at night peacefully. Not thinking of how you let go of what could’ve been the happiest relationship you ever had. And she wakes up in the morning feeling refreshed and new. She stands up on her feet and faces the day with confidence.

If you think she’s hurting herself, she isn’t. She feels good every day. She looks in the mirror and smiles because she knows she’s beautiful. She loves her own skin and she no longer needs your affirmation about it.

If you think she’s lonely, she isn’t. She goes out and drinks her favorite coffee alone in what used to be your favorite coffee shop, while reading her favorite book. But she’s completely fine being alone and she no longer needs your company just to feel safe. She loves solitude and is comfortable with it. She also goes out with her friends anytime she wants to and she longs for your presence no more.

If you think she hates you for leaving her, she doesn’t. She’s learned to let go of any bitterness and pain. But it doesn’t mean she wants you back. She wishes you well but your plans no longer concern her. You were one good memory that left her with nothing but lessons. She’s thankful you came, and left. For you made her realize what kind of person she deserves.

If you think she would be miserable, then you’re wrong. She’s been through a lot of heartbreaks and you leaving her is just another one that she will absolutely move on from. She may not understand the things you did, but she’s okay. It may have hurt her, but she will be healed without your help. You may have given up on her, but she will never give up on herself.

So don’t even worry about her. Because she’s going to be just fine without you.
