It’s not about desperation, or insecurity, or needing to seek validation, or an inability to be alone. It’s simply a choice that we’d rather risk finding and losing love than living without it altogether.

To come out successful in the professional world we are willing to oblige, and to make sacrifices for what we believe is a good opportunity, or great work… but when it comes to love, when the focus is no longer solely on ourselves, we hesitate.

It has nothing to do with your partner, and everything to do with you.
