Everything Worth Doing Is Going To Be Neither Easy Nor Fast

Regrettably, there is no shortcut to achieving your ambitions too fast without sacrificing anything in the process. If you dream big, be ready to act big as well. Nothing will be given for free.

The things that can let you achieve your biggest goals are not the things that are easy to execute, nor are they the things that can be done overnight.

You should learn to acknowledge that not all your work will be of high quality. Not all your work will become the matter of pride and praise. Probably, just a tiny share of your attempts will be successful.

Nonetheless, you cannot harvest anything unless you plant something.

Learn to be patient and wait. If you are not ready to commit to your new initiative at least for 5 years, there is no sense to start at all. The journey toward your desired destination is not going to be short. In fact, it will take years.

Forget about overnight success. It is neither true nor real. Those stories are tales rather than facts. They are myths that make you believe in nonexistent luck that suddenly appears from nowhere.

In reality, good things do not come to those who wait. Good things find those who work hard and never give up. Luck usually proves to be not a prerequisite, but rather a result of your commitment.

”I find that the harder I work, the more luck I seem to have.”—Thomas Jefferson

The reality is there is no “magic bullet.” There is no 1–2–3 solution to accomplishing the things you want. It takes one crucial ingredient that most of us would rather sidestep: plain, old-fashioned hard work.

This is an integral part of the process. This is an ingredient your success cannot be backed without. You will be surprised how the harder you work the more luck seems to find you.

When you are ready to clearly define your aspirations and already choose your path, you should be aware that there will be a moment when you feel broken, down and tired. When nobody listens to you, nobody reads and nobody cares.

You will get a feeling that your journey is going to take infinity. Frustration, disappointment, and vexation will easily fill your mind leaving almost no place for trust.

There will be a turbulence zone when you can barely stay on track and be one step away from quitting. However, a much better decision would be to try to pass that zone. And there would be no better remedy for than starting working even harder.

You need to learn how to build the firm foundation of your success from the bricks of ridicule, criticism and mistakes. And you can be sure there will be a lot of stuff like that.

You will have a great bunch of reasons to step aside the path and give up. Quitting is easy, staying committed is hard.

The good thing is there is always a way to make your journey easier. Take some time to improve yourself. Acquire new skills, improve your knowledge, learn new things. Get prepared for new challenges.

”Do not wish it was easier. Wish you were better”—Jim Rohn

However, if you are not willing to put in some time, energy and commitment to excel in what you are up to, then you had better reconsider your goals. Find something that is worth your time and cost.

Be ready to embrace the reality of chasing your dreams. It is about frustration. It is about tears, sweat and blood. It is about disappointment. It is about failures, errors and sacrifice. It is all about patience.

But getting through everything is worth the struggle.
