What If Valentine’s Day Cards Said The Truth?

By

Valentine’s Day is not some precious high holiday appointed by the cannon of theocracy to celebrate love. It’s a calculated invention — designed by the Illuminati to stimulate the economy and reinforce outdated conservative paradigms.

Having said that, let’s never shy from any opportunity to express our fondest affections towards our sweethearts. After all, in this modern age, love is an arms race; and with the added threat of social media, our relationships are under constant attack.

Like it or not, our significant others are being relentlessly courted by a marauding hoard of attractive suitors and old flames. So let’s remind them WHY they are with us: Because we have a little thing called integrity, and we have the courage to say what we honestly feel.

True love isn’t about canned, store-bought Hallmark clichés and obligatory fluff. It’s about trust, romance, depth, and honor. So this Valentine’s Day, don’t insult your paramour with some mass-produced gift of heart-shaped chocolates. Instead, give the gift of honesty.

Kindly borrow any of the sentiments below and watch your lover’s heart (and clothing) melt like I Can’t Believe Its Not Butter.
