I Wish You Could See She Is Everything I’ll Never Be
I wish you could see what I see. I don’t know why you fell for her in the first place but you did. Now I sit here and wish you could see what I see.
I wish you could see the way she uses your friends to keep you close when things get rocky. I don’t understand it. Maybe I never will understand it but it’s a system she has perfected at working. She knows how to keep your friends close in order to keep you even closer.
I wish you could see the way she manipulates you and finds the ins and outs to the relationship. She knows your weak areas and will utilize them to the best of her ability until you fall for it..again. Even after you tell me time after time how you won’t let it happen again, she still manages to find a way.
I wish you could see the way she is pulling you away from some of you’re closest friends. One of them being me. She would do anything in her power to steer you away from us.
I have never felt so distant from you and I blame her. She is protecting you from a world you once loved so much.
I wish you could see the way you changed because of her. You began to make other things priorities and put some of the most important things in your life on the back burner because of her. She has changed some of your beliefs, the things you once valued so much.
I wish you could see that I would’ve never done any of this to you. I liked you for the guy you were and I would never have wanted to change you to only satisfy me. Why? Because I saw you as the people person that everyone loved and I would never want to keep that all to myself.
I wish you could see that all I want is for you to be happy. And that’s my greatest wish for you.
I wish I could tell you I’ll wait around until you realize it but I can’t. I have to move on at some point but you’ll always have a piece of my heart. Maybe one day you will realize it but until then…I wish you could see the things I see.
