You Should Never Have To Chase What’s Meant For You

I know you’re tired. I know it’s exhausting being the only one who always does more; being the one who always have to try harder. I know you feel unappreciated and overlooked. I know you think you’re not good enough.

But darling, it’s okay if he doesn’t look at you the way you always want him to; and it’s okay if he freely chooses to ignore the lovely soul that you are.

You don’t need to prove yourself to anyone. You don’t need to knock yourself out just because he chose the pretty girl over you.

You’re probably beating yourself out trying to earn the love of the guy who doesn’t see your worth; but darling, you’ve been seeking it in the wrong places all this time.

You are loved, esteemed, appreciated, seen and cherished by the One who formed you into existence.

You might be in a season of uncertainty, doubting the plans of the One who breathed life into you; you might not be seeing where you’re headed to, but darling, i guarantee you, the Lord can; and He will stand with you in moments of confusion.

God understands how you feel even when you don’t. He sees how your heart beats without condition, and you need to understand that He’s never going to hand it over to someone who not going to completely look after it.

The man that God has for you will show up before you even know it. You don’t need to force anything, you don’t need to constantly put yourself in front of him just so he can see you. Because this man will recognize you, and he’s going to be everything but ordinary.

This man is going to exceed all of your expectations, and he is going to surpass every guy that came before him; this man is going to see you in a light that no man ever has, and he’s going to love you like nobody else did.

As cliché as it may sound, but the thing is; you don’t have to chase what’s meant for you.

Sweet girl, you are not created to pursue, you are meant to be pursued.

You deserve a man who’s going to recognize you and the beauty of your heart. You deserve a man who’s not only going to meet you halfway, but is more than willing to go way past that.

Wait for man you don’t have to chase. Wait for the man you don’t have to impress because you’re everything he’s ever asked Jesus for. Wait for the man who’s ungrudgingly happy to study the Word with you.

And most importantly, wait for the man who is completely wrapped up in grace and love for Jesus.

Someday, God will disentangle every purpose he had for you, and everything will be clear as day. You’re going to understand why you had to soak in tears because of the guy who didn’t return your love back when you were 16; and you’re going to make sense of the day he decided to repudiate your love and chose to be with someone prettier instead. Someday you’re going to meet someone who’s going to make you see why it never worked out with anybody else.

Darling, you need to know that the Lord will never make you wait unless He sees it’s going to benefit you in the long run.

Waiting is not easy, and sometimes we fail to notice the significance of why we have to lie in wait. But ladies, this period is not a curse from the Lord, but a blessing.

So, in the meantime, focus on yourself, fixate the goals you want to achieve, keep yourself ready and seek God in the season you’re in. Allow God to shape you into the woman He has called you to be. Let His love completely dwell in your heart first before you decide to commit to any man.

Darling, God will honor your patience and obedience. And at the right time and circumstance, love will find its way to you.

You no longer have to chase after it, it’s going to come knocking straight at your front door. This man will see you, this man will recognize you, this man is going to know it’s you because God has inscribed your name wonderfully in his heart right from the very beginning.

And he’s going to love every inch of who you are. You no longer have to pretend to be someone you’re not just to win him over; you no longer have to contort yourself into this woman who you think he wants you to be; because the right man will love you even on your most random moments.

Sweet girl, God is capable of leading you to the right person so stop making things happen your way. One day you’re going to wake up and see yourself in the presence of the man you’ve earnestly prayed for, and you’re going to be so glad you decided to wait on the Lord in your season of singleness.
