A Time For Healing

Ben White

She never expected how much that certain sporadic feelings dim her soul. She began to cry to calm herself as she tries to wake up her inner potential.

“Be calm my little angel”, as she whispers, “One day you’ll wake up you’ve conquered it all. You may be too emotional to feel that way but know that there will always be a time for healing. A time to accept the fact that it was never really yours to take. You may be asking yourself right now why you keep feeling this way. Stand on your ground. Let go. Let go.”

“You may be giving yourself a sardonic jab to express your anger, confusion, and hatred. But one day, one day, just give yourself one more day; a chance to prove yourself that you are worth it. You are held accountable to your emotions. Accept it. Accept your past. Know thy path that you will take with you. Never spend a year of wasted days and nights; efforts that could move a thousand rhymes to joggle. Eagerly pray and ask for repentance.”

“Offer to Him your past mistakes, fears, and doubts. Never let it define you. Whatever you may face, learn to be resilient. Again and again and again. Please come back to your old optimism with assurance of life’s lessons. It’s never too late to come back and find your sovereignty and balance.”

She carefully then closed her eyes. It’s time to move forward. Time to wrap up everything. Start over as what her heart keeps telling her. While she clinched her arms, a whisper blew her mind to marvel.

This is what she heard – Isaiah 43:18-19.

But the Lord says, “Do not cling to events of the past or dwell on what happened long ago. Watch for the new thing I am going to do. It is happening already–you can see it now! I will make a road through the wilderness and give you  streams of water there”. Amidst the feelings of fears and troubles, she smiled in great awe.

“Amen”, she whispers and gently touches her chest where her heart is in the middle of pain. Scared. Denial. Cry. It’s your time to heal.

Heal your heart. Quiet your mind and find your inner peace. Find Him. Wherever you may go, He will be there. Stand up again. Forget the memories. Don’t bring it back again. Stop. Let the healing comes in your way. Thought Catalog Logo Mark
