To The Man I Have Grown To Love

By

To the Man I have grown to love, my best friend, my rock.

You are the first person I have grown to love after being completely broken – to say you are special is an understatement.

I cannot put into words the way my universe shifted after you came in it. I have experienced every day and everything much more intensely.

You know a lot about me, so needless to say you know about all of the encounters I’ve had with love in my life, romantic and otherwise. With that being said, looking back on my life and looking at where I am today I am astounded.

I want to express my gratitude for nurturing me and also taking the time to learn and grow too. Over time our talks and conversations have tightened some screws in my head and made me have powerful realizations. Maybe its where I am at in life today, combined with the stars and it has nothing to do with you – however, I really doubt it. The same way you are compelled to just vent to me, or talk to me and I have with you, is priceless.

There is not a day that passes that I don’t wish there were more powerful words than I love you. I could write three books for you and it still wouldn’t be enough for you to know how you’ve changed everything.

And whether you are here today and gone tomorrow, or 50 years from now I am still writing away arthritis and all; I just want to remind you (again) how special you are in the world and in my world.

I hope after all this time I still bring a smile to your face as you do to mine. Thank you for being you.

I love you, love.
