Stop Trying To Please Everyone, That’s Why You’re Miserable

By

Look at yourself. Trying to please people. You are making yourself vulnerable by allowing them to manipulate you, your identity, and what or who you should be.

You are not thinking about yourself. You are thinking about how other people should see you. Stop trying so hard to make everyone like you because it will only hurt you.

You are expecting people to treat you the way you have treated them, but if given so little in return, you feel sad. Worse, nothing.

People fear what they don’t understand, and most of us don’t understand each other. We live in this world full of hopes and dreams and yet here you are, wasting your time trying to please them. I am telling you this because I want you to stop worrying about pleasing everyone. You are not them and they are not you. You are so much more than that.

You are loved and you are worthy. You are an amazing person and you are meant for greater things.

I want you to focus on more important things – things that matter more than asking people to like you. I want you to stop waiting for good remarks. I want you to stop pretending you’re okay when you’re not. It’s not always going to be fair and you have to accept that.

Live through the day without giving a damn about what other people think. You are here in this world for yourself, for your loved ones, and for your life. You shouldn’t worry so much. You are more than enough to make someone smile.

Dress crazy? Fine. Drink until the sun is up? Fine. Wear pajamas to class? Fine. Be yourself. Don’t please everyone. Please yourself.
