1. ATHEISTS ARE NOT AS JUDGEMENTAL
Religious people have all sorts of stigmas about different kinds of activities and are always making assumptions or passing judgement or what other people do; many religions go as far as condemning those that either believe in a ‘false religion’ or don’t believe in any one of them. Many believers ostracize and avoid those that they deem ‘corrupted’; an atheist would never uninvite or exclude somebody just because of their allegedly wrong beliefs. The Christian bible even says that god will destroy all the fake religions and other institutions.
2. ATHEISTS ARE MORE RELIABLE
Religious people tend to follow a certain book and live by it; a book that is full of contradictions and has many different ways of being interpreted – thus, the many ramnifications of most organized religions. When your behavior is based on a book – no less – instead of on an actual criteria, any – too specific – situation can go several different ways; atheists tend to have a strong set of beliefs that they’re a lot more familiar with because they ‘wrote’ it themselves according to their own reason and their own train of thought.
3. ATHEISTS ARE MORE FLEXIBLE
Despite popular belief, most atheists have a solid set of morals and beliefs that they honor. However, not only can atheists change their minds when something is sufficiently justified by their own logic, but they can also make exceptions and prioritize when doing a favor for someone or when something they consider more important is at stake. Religious people will often follow rules that defeat their own purpose and end up doing more damage than good ‘in the name of god’.
4. ATHEISTS ARE SMARTER
Besides the obvious reluctance to being brainwashed against all reason, atheists have to practice the act of reasoning on a daily basis while religious people practice the act of obedience. Atheists are better at problem solving because they have to solve problems all the time and weight the possible outcomes before choosing what is best. Religious people will just act according to scripture or ask their local priest for guidance.
5. ATHEISTS ARE BETTER PEOPLE
There’s a big difference between being a good person out of fear of ending up in hell or duty, and being a good person out of conviction. Atheists will often be very laid-back and helpful – very empathic. Religious people will help you when their god instructs it and leave you hanging when they have to – without hesitation. Atheists are far more humane, they will try to help people out of the goodness of their hearts and, if they don’t try to help, they – generally – won’t try to hurt you either. Let’s put it like this: if heaven was for alleged sinners – like a bar or a club – and a Christian that had never had a beer before wanted to enter, atheists would – most likely – welcome said Christian whereas the real religious afterlives condemn those that haven’t lived the ‘right’ way.
