I Want You To Remember That Love Is Never Wasted

“I gave all of that love for no reason.”

I’m sure that you have had this thought at one point or another. I’m also pretty sure that this thought has caused you to second guess using your heart. It has probably caused you to be careful of the love that you place into the universe.

I have had this thought many times, too.

There are so many situations that can make you feel this way. You give so much love to some people and they take it for granted. You give so much love to some people and they don’t give any back. You give so much love to some people and you feel like you have wasted your time. You give so much love to some people and they take advantage of it. You give so much love to some people and you feel like you have no more left. You give so much love to some people that you feel like you have lost yourself.

You haven’t.

But, I don’t blame you for feeling that the love that you constantly gave went to waste. We have all felt like this at one point or another in our lives. This can especially have a great impact on those who value time because they can feel like they have spent too much time loving those who did not appreciate it. In turn, this leads to us feeling betrayed. It leads to us feeling hurt. It even leads to us feeling unfulfilled at times. I want you to know that feeling like this is okay.

After all, we are only human.

I want you to remember that love is never wasted. Once you emit energy into the universe, it turns into a positive force, even if the humans that you are giving that love to do not see its value. You should keep giving love anyway. You have a pure heart that is filled with love and no one can take that away from you unless you decide to close your heart. What a tragedy that choice would be.

How they react to your love does not depend on your heart. Your heart was given the ability to love no matter what. And, you should continue to do so regardless of their reactions. Blaise Pascal, one of my favorite philosophers, once said that “the heart has its reasons which reason knows nothing of. We know the truth not only by the reason, but by the heart.” I think that this is beautiful. Your heart needs no reason. Your heart speaks loud. Your heart bleeds love. Your heart exerts a truth. And, truth, can never be wasted.

Keep loving.
