1. People come and go.
People come and go in life, and not everyone is meant to stay. However, the right people will stay. Don’t ever try to keep someone in your life when they choose to leave. You have to realize that some people can stay in your heart but not in your life.
2. Embrace changes.
Life constantly changes. We can never stay in one spot. Who said changes were always bad? You can’t be stuck in one position forever. Changes are hard to cope with, but know that endings are only new beginnings, the best is yet to come.
3. It’s okay not to be okay.
Some days we are way above, some days we hit rock bottom. We’re human. We go through a hell lot. Just know that it’s okay. But just hold on. It’ll be over before you know it.
4. Appreciate the people around you.
People can be fake in society. They play you, use you, and you’re just the “second option.” Some just don’t give a damn about you. Not everyone you lose is a loss. We are lucky we do meet people that will support you in life. They’ll be there for you. They stick by you no matter what. Keep them with you. Appreciate their presence.
5. Step out of your comfort zone.
The world can be daunting at times. People can be scary. Don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone. Get yourself out there. Follow your gut. You’ll realize how much you’re missing out on. It’ll amaze you how much you can achieve.
6. Stop overthinking.
It can be hard to stop yourself from overthinking. “What if this happens though?” “Ugh I can’t.” Unsure about something? Ask. Better safe than sorry rather than filling up your mind with destructive thoughts. Having second thoughts about something you’ve always wanted to do? Just go for it. What is there to lose? It doesn’t matter what others think. Strive for your dreams, strive for success. Do it for yourself.
7. Failure is good.
Who wouldn’t fail in life? Life is all about trial and error. Take it as a lesson. Learn from your mistakes. Mistakes are proof that you’re trying.
8. Love yourself.
You are unique in your own way. Stop trying to be someone you’re not. Let go of the insecurities that haunt you. Try love them instead. You might realize that your insecurities might be what others admire about you. When you truly learn to embrace yourself, that’s when you really realize you are worth so much more.
9. Do what makes you happy.
Today will be over before you know it. So why not do the things that make you happy? There is nothing to lose. Smile to a stranger, do a good deed, make someone’s day. Happiness is contagious, bring happiness in the game.
10. Forgive and forget.
Stop holding on to bad times, let them go. Forgiving others does not mean you are weak, it only means you’re strong enough to realize there are so many other things you could invest your time in. You only meet a small amount of people in this world. Befriend people. Everyone deserves a second chance. Forgive others for their mistakes, everyone makes mistakes. Forget the bad times, let new memories flow.
11. Give your body some love.
Look after your body. Get out there and do something physical. You don’t have to starve yourself hoping to get skinnier, no you don’t have to go on a strict diet. Set lifestyle goals for yourself, look up to them and achieve them. Choose healthier options, but still listen to your body to live a healthier lifestyle.
12. Enjoy yourself.
No you don’t have to know exactly what you’re doing with your life. Just let things flow, you’ll eventually find your pace and where you stand. Life is short, enjoy the ride. Live, love, laugh, that’s what matters.
13. Live life.
Stop trying to rush things. Slow down. Enjoy the little things. Make the best out of everything you have. Make memories that will last a lifetime. Live. Just live for the moment.
14. Be kind.
We share this world together. Be kind to one another. Help someone out. It doesn’t have to be big. Just note that the people you help may not always help you back. It’s okay, you’re doing a good deed and the world will recognize you for it. Just keep in mind that we’re all in this together. For the sense of love in humanity. We can make our world a better place.
15. Be grateful.
Be grateful for this life. Be grateful for the people around you. Be grateful for food, shelter, and love. Be grateful for every opportunity. Be grateful that you’re much more fortunate than many others out there. Thank the people you love. Make life worthwhile.
16. Worrying does no good.
Stop worrying you might take a wrong step in life. Stop worrying about what might happen tomorrow. Live in the here and now. Everything happens for a reason. Take chances, drop fears. What’s meant to be will always find its way. Believe that you can make it. Believe you will survive. Believe that there are so many things in life that is worth living for.
Most of all, life is far too short to live with regrets. We go through a hell lot of obstacles every day. Don’t let the bad times drag you down. Take it as a life lesson. Learn from your mistakes. We often come back stronger as we learn every day in life.
Live life as if there’s no tomorrow. Choose happiness. Live, love and laugh. Accept where you are in life and make the most out of it. There’s still a long way to go.
