Even If It Doesn’t Last, Love Is Never A Waste Of Your Time

We will never know for sure who we fall in love with. It just happens. It’s like going through all the busy streets, making your daily routine and in just a snap, you meet the person you want to spend your life with.

It’s never easy at first, since we all look for the perfect kind of love that we are blinded by it, and we reject all the other things we encounter. Some are too focused on what they have now, that they are scared of change when change is in front of them. Some are just too desperate that we cling on to false feelings and jump in to another. Some are busy trying to work their way and forget that there’s more to life than yourself.

We can never know how these things just happen when it does happen. We just have to see it for ourselves to know the difference. It can happen with the person you just met, or a friend you’ve been talking to for years. It is never certain, it is infinite, and it can make your planned life chaotic.

But that’s the beauty of it.

It’s a moment where all of the unreasonable things start to make sense. How a minute can make a person smile and laugh enough to make your day wonderful. By just staring at a reflection can start your day right. It’s a time when all the busy hours just finished and you are sitting there for your midnight meal, talking about all the random things you can think of and that’s the highlight of your one whole busy day. It’s a feeling when you look forward for tomorrow even though you have no idea why, or you start your day early just to wait there and see whether you can able to have a chat or say, “Hi.” It’s a part of you when you start to run for help, and you just know you will be alright. It’s a good feeling that keeps your mind and heart at peace even though there are problems you need to face. It keeps you going, it keeps you sane.

But it may never stay for good.

It is too difficult to understand why we feel such love for the people we just met, or none at all to the person you were with for years. We can never fully understand why some people enter your life, make you feel things that no one has ever done before, and just leave right when things are good.

Some have given all the love they can give and realize how empty they are. It would confuse you as to why that love is gone with the person you were once sure about and it can be terrifying when things start to get messy.

But that’s how love works. It stays when it should, and leaves when it is time to.

Every love that comes our way leaves us with lessons and that is its purpose. To teach us something. Whether that lesson is staying for the person who needed you, or the person that leaves you in order for you to grow. Each lesson has its contribution to who we are. It builds us. It makes us smarter. It makes us appreciate all the little things that come in our way. It makes us love even more. It frees us.

So when a different kind of love comes in our way, or the same love comes knocking again, don’t ever hesitate to open your arms and say “welcome.” And when it’s time to leave, never turn your back without saying “Goodbye, I had a wonderful time with you. I’ll see you around.”
