Summer is about rooftops, cocktails, and drinking cocktails on rooftops. There’s no better way to end (or begin!) a nice summer day than with a refreshing bit of booze. But sometimes it’s hard to recreate that cocktail lounge flavour when you’re broke, have no bar experience and are in need of a stiff drink on a Thursday evening. Here are 5 easy-to-make summer cocktails you can make at home in no time. They’re delicious and your friends will be impressed!
This is a classic summer cocktail, perfect for sipping on a sidewalk terrace. It’s really easy to make and you can find the recipe here.
Classic Lime Caipirinha
Brazil’s national cocktail, and its best kept secret for decades, a Classic Lime Caipirinha is my go-to when I need a stiff and refreshing drink. You can get caipirinhas in other flavours, too! Like the Aperol Spritz a caipirinha is fairly easy to make and only has a few ingredients. The recipe is here.
If it comes it a champagne glass it’s got to be fabulous, right? Sit at the pinnacle of elegance as you sip on this iconic French drink made with champagne, gin and simple syrup. Make this for your friends at home and they will love you forever.
A Pimm’s Cup is as “British Summer” as it gets. The taste is pretty unique and doesn’t really taste like anything else. It tastes like Pimm’s! You can mix Pimm’s with ginger beer or with Sprite. Find the recipe here PS you’re supposed to put a TON of fruit in it lol.
When it comes to summer drinks flavoured with mint I tend to prefer the mint julep. It has so much more kick! Enjoy this bad boy from the comfort of your own hammock with this recipe.
