You Need To Hear This Remix of Justin Timberlake’s “Suit & Tie”

The # 1 reason pop songs exist is so they can be remixed. Sure, we shout them out loud to no one in particular when we’re stumbling back home from the bars at 4 a.m., but pop songs give DJs and electronic music producers the raw canvas to transform and make their own creative works. The original song itself might be great or it might just be kind of whatever, but that’s why a DJ’s job is to take the song someplace you never thought it could go. A DJ has to do something really amaze if he or she is going to amplify the song, make it better and make it her or his own.

Dillon Francis, an L.A.-based electronic dance music producer, just dropped a sick remix of Justin Timberlake’s “Suit & Tie.” It sort of doesn’t sound anything like the original. But that’s what makes it so hot. Electronic music is all about the drama of the drop. The bigger, more dramatic, and climactic the drop, the better a song feels because dance music is exactly like sex! I never really cared so much for the original “Suit & Tie,” but the Dillon Francis remix is really giving me what I need for the weekend. Hopefully you too!
