Read This If You Need To Let Him Go

I’ve been through heartbreaks and I’ve seen my closest friends’ heartbreaks, and all I grasped from those is that if you constantly take him back or let him stay in contact, more heartbreaks will arise. That guy who told you he loves you and spent the night in another girl’s bed is not in love with you. That guy who’s been lying to you for so long is a coward and doesn’t deserve you. If he lies, cheats, hides things, or makes you feel worthless, he is not for you or anyone. You need to let him go.

Change your mindset

Make yourself believe that you are independent and you are able to be alone. Loneliness is one of our biggest fears when we’re letting someone go. Fear is only as deep as the mind allows. Remember that it is all in your head and that being alone isn’t so bad at all. Believe that you can and will let him go.

Practice self-care

I don’t need to tell you how important self care is, but we invest a lot of time and energy into our significant other. There is barely any time for self-care at that point. Before leaving someone, start taking care of yourself. I promise it will make you feel a tiny bit better, even if everything is going wrong. With time, you will learn how to make more time for yourself, and less time for toxicity to enter your life. You will realize your worth and how much you deserve. Morning routine, night routine, meal prepping, going to the gym, anything you like. Taking care of your body will help your soul and heart and will make you stronger than ever.

Burn the past

In order to let someone go, it is crucial that you erase and throw out everything that has to do with them. It’s a hard step, but it is much better than dwelling on the past. Delete them from every social media, there is no reason for you to be stalking them and making yourself feel worse.

Start socializing

Get out there and do things to keep your mind off things. Call your friends and ask them to meet up. Go on a date with that handsome man who keeps asking you out, because he might turn out to be the one.

Let go of the “what if”s

Don’t fill your mind with what if this and what if that. The person who hurt you did it for a reason. No amount of apologies will erase what they’ve put you through, hence you need to cut it ASAP. Know your worth and don’t let anyone make you feel less than what you are! Now, if you want revenge, I strongly suggest you scratch that out of your plans. It is not worth your time and energy.

Keep in mind that in a few years you will be thanking your old self for getting out of an awful situation, only to fall into a better one. Focus on yourself, your standards, and what you deserve. Every chapter has an ending; cheers to a new beginning!
