You Are The Greatest Adventure My Heart Has Ever Experienced

I remember what it was like when I first fell for you; it happened faster than anything I had ever experienced. You came in my life at a time I wasn’t sure I was ready for such an adventure, but you ended up being my favorite story to read.

Our love was adventurous, just like our favorite hobbies together; it never failed to amaze me. We would continue straight on our path, randomly veering off into crooked, sharp corners, landing on jagged rocks that made our relationship chaotic.

Yet, at the same time, our adventures never failed to put a smile on my face.

You have become my most favorite adventure of my life. Yes, it hasn’t been long for me to already consider you my greatest adventure, but there is no one else I would rather call my best friend than you.

The nights when you aren’t lying next to me, I long for you. I never could have imagined that my definition of home would be instilled upon a person rather than a place. 

My best memories are riding shotgun in your truck, my hand in yours, and our favorite place looking at us through the windshield. You are the best thing that I have ever called mine. And on this rocky adventure we call love, I am beyond thrilled that my soul has found a soul like yours to explore the world with.

As cheesy as it sounds, you are the missing piece that my heart has searched for. Your hands are rough from your years of working hard, but when you touch me, they are calm, gentle, and they never hurt. Your eyes stare at me with glossy satisfaction of a love that no one else could never replace.

You have filled my heart with joy and adventures. You have melted off the pains that the past has frozen to my body. Most of all, you have fallen in love with my biggest insecurities.

Before you, I looked in the mirror to see someone I didn’t quite feel right about, but with you, I see someone who deserves the love that you give me.
