50 Women Share The Beautiful Moment They Realized They’d Found Their Forever Person

22. When he lent me his hoodie even though he wasn’t wearing a shirt underneath it.

“A few months into dating my current boyfriend, we were invited to hang out with two mutual friends of ours (who were/are currently exploring the idea of dating…so I guess it was a double date of sorts??) We got dinner and hung out for a while, eventually going back to one of our friends’ houses, drinking wine and having a good time. Towards the end of the night, I went to the bathroom, only to find that I’d gotten my period—heavily. I’d bled through my underwear and all the way through my shorts. I texted my friend (the one whose house it was) and asked her to discreetly bring me a tampon, which she did. She told me that I must’ve bled onto her sheets, because there were a few red spots that she previously assumed was spilled wine. I was mortified. I asked her to bring me my boyfriend’s hoodie so I could tie it around my waist and hide my stained shorts. She brought it to me, then told me ‘Your boyfriend is now shirtless in my room.’ I was confused, then she elaborated: ‘I asked for his hoodie, saying you needed it. Turns out he wore nothing underneath it, so he’s shirtless now.’

We left quickly afterwards, and I had to tell my boyfriend about the whole situation. He didn’t make a big fuss about it, but comforted me since he knew I was embarrassed. But I realized something—he didn’t even know why I needed his hoodie when my friend got it for me, and he didn’t even mention that was all he had on. All he knew was that I needed it, and he gave it up without a second thought.”

23. When he stayed at bedside while I was in the hospital.

“I got really sick a couple of months into dating my boyfriend. I was in and out of hospital for two weeks including a five day stay in the maternity ward which was the only room they could give me. He was there from the time visiting hours started at 7am till the nurses asked him to leave at 11pm. I was unable to move because of a botched lumbar puncture. It he took care of me, made sure I got to order my meals and was okay in the bathroom. I honestly couldn’t thank him enough, he showered me while recovering at his family’s house and helped me through all the doctor’s appointments. I know he will be sticking around and do anything for me if he got through all of that.”
