You Are More Than The Guy Who Doesn’t Want You

I think sometimes we forget our own inner magic. We forget that the worthiness and the sparkle of our existence are not dependent upon friendships, relationships, or circumstance.

Life has an interesting way of taking every ounce of grief we feel from our childhood on and making it into a belief system about our inner self that is only harmful.

This is something we need to remember:

We do not become less and less worthy every time we are presented with an obstacle. We do not become less worthy every time we encounter rejection. We do not become less worthy every time we feel unwanted. It just doesn’t work like that.

We are more than the boy who doesn’t text us back. We are more than the guy who won’t express his love for us. We are more than boys who give up so easily, who don’t know how to simply just stay. We are more than the boys who don’t know how to communicate, who project their own issues onto us. We are more than the guys who don’t bother to ask us about our dreams, our fears, or our history. We are more than the guys who raise their voice, who make us feel less beautiful so they can feel more powerful. We are worth more than the guy who can’t make up his mind about us, who has to think and ponder how much he actually wants to invest. We are more than half-hearted love.

The beautiful thing about our own worthiness is that it isn’t something we obtain over time or something that we have to work hard in order to keep. Our worthiness isn’t dependent upon our parents showing up for us, or our significant others sticking around for forever. The beautiful thing about our own worthiness is that we are born worthy. Our worthiness is not a gift from someone else. Our worthiness is not measured by anyone else.

We are worthy because of the way we speak kindness. We are worthy because of the way we unconditionally love every ounce of the people in our lives.

We are worthy because of our breath. Our bodies. Our boundaries. Our thoughts. Our touch.

Every single thing about us is worthy from the second we became a possibility to the universe.

Remember that. TC mark
