Fall in love with a writer
And you’ll never fall asleep
If endless typing on her keyboard
Isn’t enough
There’s her reading light
That will surely keep you up all night

Fall in love with a writer
And you won’t have anyone to talk to
She’ll keep you there,
right beside her
A muse to be kept safe.

Fall in love with a writer
And you’ll have an endless amount of pens
Even though she hasn’t used
The last ten she just bought.

Fall in love with a writer
And you’ll go broke
Not with buying her expensive clothes
Or designer shoes
But by buying her twenty used books
And ten or so notebooks

Fall in love with a writer
And the place will never be clean
A book here, a torn out paper over there
And the writer sprawled on the floor typing.

Fall in love with a writer
And you’ll never figure out
Why she bought a typewriter
When she uses her computer

Fall in love with a writer
And you’ll never get to eat on time
“Five more minutes” she says
But the typing never ends
And you’ll end up eating alone.

Fall in love with a writer
And you’ll mind will never be at rest
You’ll always wonder if her latest work is about you
Or some other douchebag at work

Fall in love with a writer
And you always have to be honest
And brace your self when you have to say
That her work isn’t the best

Fall in love with a writer
And you’ll never be the same
But you know when you check her story
Right there, in the dedication page, will be your name. TC mark
