This Is Why She Loves Being Single

By

She loves being single because she has her independence. She has her freedom and her space. She loves being single because she doesn’t have to worry about anyone — but herself.

She loves being single because she gets the time to focus on her own needs and wants. She has the time to dive into hobbies that she would normally neglect. She has the time to do more of what she loves on her own. She has the ability to grow and blossom at a quicker pace than ever before.

She loves being single because she has time to pay more attention to her career. She has time to put all of her strength into her dreams and her aspirations without anyone holding her back. She has the energy now to solely put herself first, and to not put her career on hold anymore.

She loves being single because she doesn’t have to follow anyone’s rules or suggestions. She has herself to trust and her gut to follow. She doesn’t have to be tied down to anything or anyone. She has no one stopping her from following her dreams or reaching towards her goals.

She loves being single because she has become her number one supporter.

She loves being single because she has the time to strengthen her friendships and other relationships. Instead of date nights and nights in spent with a significant other, she now can join in on happy hour with her best friends and catch up with her loved ones.

She loves being single because she can do anything she wants to do without repercussions. She can flirt and kiss as many lips as she wants to with no judgement from anyone else. She can bring people home and say goodbye to them in the morning, or she can choose to not see anyone.

She loves being single because she can re-learn how to love herself. With time, she has lost some of her spark and her light. With time, she has grown a bit more tired and a bit more reluctant. Now, she can ignite that flame again. Now, she can re-love herself. Now she can give herself the true love that she deserves and re-discover what if feels like to be her own lover.

She loves being single because she doesn’t have to answer to anyone. She doesn’t have to do something for the sake of someone else. She doesn’t have to try to be the perfect girlfriend or the perfect partner or the perfect partner. She can just be the perfect being for herself.

She loves being single because she gets to be selfish. In her life, with herself and in her career. She gets to do as she pleases, to live life to the fullest without someone pushing her down. She gets to be the selfish one this time. She gets to be the one to call the shots.

She gets to be her own soulmate and her own hero.

And honestly? That’s a pretty epic person to be. And she adores being the one to pick herself up when she stumbles over uneven concrete. She adores being the one to dry her own tears. To be the one to save herself.
