The World Is Not Out To Get You (So You Can Stop Using That Excuse Now)

By

Ok everybody, let’s just get real honest here. The world is NOT out to get you. Ok? Ok.

I know you think that every problem you have is not up to you. And I get it. It’s easy to blame your problems on the world, the universe, or whatever God you believe in.

It’s easy to blame anything or anyone, but yourself.

I used to walk around thinking that the universe was deliberately punishing me for every battle I fought. I used to look at my life and look up at the sky and shake my fists at whatever or whoever was up there. I used to blame my problems on other people, on a higher power, and the world in general.

But then I grew the fuck up.

The world isn’t out to get me and it isn’t out to get you. The universe wasn’t created to intentionally make your life a living hell. The world wasn’t created to intentionally make every part of your life a big black hole of misery.

In fact, this world can be a beautiful place. So, if you have the patience to just look around your surroundings, you will come to realize that it isn’t the world that’s the problem. It isn’t God that is against you. It isn’t other people’s fault that you hate your life.

It’s your mindset.

You have to stop blaming your mistakes and your problems on other people and on inanimate objects. You need to stop making excuses for every little thing that goes wrong in your life.

It doesn’t matter how tough things are going or how much you are struggling. It doesn’t matter if the love of your life just broke up with you, or if you just lost your job. It doesn’t matter if you fell out with your best friend, or if you are swimming in stress. This is your issue and your problem. And you’re the only one who truly can be the person to fix your life.

You can get help. You can talk to other people. You can get back to living a life that you want to live. I promise you, you can.

If you are feeling stuck in your life and feel like you are amounting to nothing, think really hard about your mindset. And think really hard about who you are blaming for this feeling. I can guarantee you, this is a problem that you can solve.

So please. For your future self, stop sitting around throwing yourself a pity party. Stop blaming the world when things get really, really hard. And most importantly, start supporting yourself.

You may think that the awful things that happen to you, never happen to anyone else. You may think that you are the only one on this earth who feels the way that you do. But, this is life. This is living. It is painful. It can be agonizing. It can be stressful and it can be devastating. Everyone goes through battles. Everyone goes through trauma. Everyone goes through pain, no matter how strong they may seem.

This is life. This is your life. And if you find the strength within yourself to get help when you need it, and support yourself when necessary, it also can be wonderful, and beautiful life

So choose beauty. Choose to stop blaming others. Choose to take steps forward and do healthy things for yourself. Choose to take control of your life and give yourself self care. Choose to empathize with others who are down and choose to constantly lift yourself up even when it’s difficult. Choose to smile when the odds seem against you. And choose to believe that you will get through anything you put your mind to.

Choose to take action in your life. Because at the end of the day, you are the only person who is in charge of how you look at this world. And at the end of the day, you are the only person who is living your life.

So live your life according to you. And don’t let anyone or any circumstance get in the way.
