Here’s How To Move Forward After Life Tries To Break You

By

Sometimes, life will try to break you and you’ll keep having bad days after bad days. Maybe it’s depression, maybe you’ve lost a family member, or maybe you just got fired from a job you loved. Whatever it may be, life can be a bitch. I can’t stop these bad things from happening to you, but I can give you advice on accepting these days for what they are, and how to keep chugging along regardless of the hurdles that come your way.

Everyone is dealing with something in their lives. No one person is 100% happy with life everyday.

I hope you know that you are never alone, no matter how much it feels like it.

People all over the world have gone through loss and struggles just like you. Talk to someone about your problems. Call up your best friend and cry to her about what you are going through. Don’t try to move forward by yourself. You’re going to need an army of the closest friends and family to continue to make baby steps towards a better and brighter life.

With loss, comes opportunity. No matter what you are struggling with, you have the power to make it better. You have the power to make the most of it, and to always look at the glass half full even if it is in fact half empty. You now have the opportunity to transform your life.

Think of one thing to be grateful for each day, take some time to watch your favorite comedy shows and movies that will make you double over in laughter. Take a day to pamper yourself with self care and love. Spend time with a loved one and cry your heart out until the tears stop running down your cheeks. Hug your dog. And hold your loved ones closer to you than ever before. You never know what tomorrow is going to bring you.

When you are hurting, you tend to look at everything that is wrong with your life and wallow in that pain. While crying and hurting will help in the healing process, you need to remember what it felt like to be happy. And know that one day, you will feel that way again.

No matter how many terrible days you have, you are going to have triple the amount of amazing memories and moments.

Sadness can make you eternally grateful of your happy times, and it will make you realize how sacred those moments truly are.

There’s nothing I can say that will take away your pain. And there’s nothing that you can do to magically make it go away.

But, know that it’s just a feeling. It’s not going to be permanent.

And I hope you know that you are going to have a future full of smiles, of unforgettable moments and of pure joy. This life is a constant wheel of emotions and it’s ok to be sad right now. It’s ok to be miserable. Because one day, you’re going to forget what that ever felt like. You’re going to be so ecstatic and high on life, you won’t even think about the time when life tried to break.
