5 Times It Really Sucks To Be Indecisive

By

Sometimes I catch myself eating breakfast twice because I couldn’t decide between Fruity Pebbles and Cheerios. Other times, I skip breakfast altogether because the number of options exceed my age. The only thing more tedious than not being able to make up your mind quickly is not being able to make up your mind at all. It’s times like these that it totally blows being an indecisive person.

1. When deciding what to eat

There hasn’t been a single time I’ve gone to a restaurant and been able to decide what I wanted before the waiter came to my table the second time. Of course this is after the countless hours spent choosing a restaurant to begin with.

2. When choosing a movie

When you catch yourself standing at the ticket booth at the movie theater for more than 10 minutes, you know you have a serious problem. Just try to speed it up before the customers behind you start throwing popcorn at you.

3. With relationships

Nothing’s more annoying for your partner than to always be responsible for choosing where to take you on a date because you failed to make up your mind. An even worse predicament? Just imagine you’re standing at the alter and you can’t decide whether you want to spend the rest of your life with the person standing in front of you or not.

4. When having many options

If you’re indecisive and are given options, you’ll most probably start to feel overwhelmed. You’ll notice that indecisive people have a simple routine, minimal wardrobe and only a few friends. Making simple decisions like where to order coffee in the morning and what to wear that day would take up an excessive amount of time.

5. When spending far too much time thinking about trivial matters

You waste time thinking about whether to opt for a hamburger or a cheeseburger and you end up taking time from more important decisions.

My advice to all you indecisive souls out there: start small. Take it one step at a time and tackle a series of simple decisions that need to be made. Soon enough, you’ll find yourself making larger, more meaningful decisions without a problem.
