6 Reasons You Should Absolutely Consider Going Vegan This Year

By

Everyone’s going vegan. It’s not just hippies and long-distance runners and white people with dreadlocks, it’s young people and old people and doctors and actors and athletes and mums. Ev-er-y-one.

If you’re not vegan yet, here are some reasons to go vegan in 2019.

Vegans are sexy.

Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth, hello? Ariana Grande, Joaquin Phoenix, Natalie Portman, Lewis Hamilton, Pamela Anderson, shall I continue? BECAUSE I CAN. Serena Williams, Ruby Rose, Jessica Chastain, Erykah Badu, Alicia Silverstone, Jared Leto…

Vegans are happier.

Eating more fruit and veg can increase serotonin – the happy hormone – in your body, making you happier and less stressed.

Researchers found that an animal source of omega-6 fatty acids which can cause mood-disturbing changes in the brain at high levels, which did not happen to those on vegan diets.

You’ll slay in the bedroom.

A vegan diet has been proven to increase energy, stamina, and virility so ditching meat and animal products will improve your bedroom antics.

When you stop consuming animal products your arteries start to clear and blood will circulate better through the body, particularly to your nether regions… which is you know, useful.

Eating meat also increases the amount of synthetic hormones that the body takes in, which can lead to a reduced sperm count and an increase the risk of testicular tumors, so if you have those parts they’ll thank you for going vegan too.

You’ll look young even when you’re not.

Did you know that Jared Leto is 47? As in, almost 50. And he credits his vegan diet and not drinking alcohol to his youthful appearance and lack of aging.

When you eat vegan you usually take in more nutrients, more antioxidants and eat more fresh food, all of which improve skin health and keep you looking fresh.

Animals will like you better.

Animals are intuitive, so if you fill your stomach with body parts they’ll sense it and give you the cold shoulder. Go vegan, stop eating animals, and when you head to an animal sanctuary you’ll get all the cow cuddles your heart desires. Trust me, they know.

You get to help save the planet.

Well, who doesn’t want to save the world?

We’ve been told we’ve got just 12 years left to reverse the damage we’re doing to the planet, and cutting out animal agriculture is the absolute most effective way to do it. So you can make small changes to what you eat and save the future of our planet? If that’s not enough of a reason, I don’t know what is.
