The perpetually single girl, you know that girl.
She is the one who has been single for god knows how long and you probably have asked her one of those questions before:
“Why are you still single?”
“You are single? How come?”
“Wait… what? You’ve never had a boyfriend?”
Yes, she is that girl who is behind every couple, making a face because they invited her to “hang out” but really they just spent the whole time unapologetically exchanging saliva right in front of her face.
She is that girl you go to for advice about your relationship because although she’s never been in one, she understands that the number one rule to every relationship is to know and love yourself first. And who better than the forever alone girl to know what it is to love yourself?
She is that girl who has never been in a relationship, but she has seen so many failed ones that she knows exactly what to tell you.
But she is also that girl you won’t listen to, no matter how many warnings she shows you about your relationship, because she’s that girl who has never been in a relationship so “what does she know really?”
She’s that girl, always alone on Valentine’s Day but to be honest she probably hates Valentine’s Day!
She is that girl who would rather spend Fridays at home binge watching Netflix while wearing a face mask.
But she is also that girl who knows how to party and have fun.
She is that one girl who eats alone at a restaurant and she is probably that same girl exploring the world on her own with her camera as her only friend.
She is that girl who is focused on her career and on herself.
She is that girl who will end up doing big things with her life because she’s more driven and focused than anyone else.
She is THAT girl, but you probably haven’t seen her or noticed her because she is the girl that people don’t really see at first glance.
But if you just so much as lock eyes with her, you’d know that she is the one!
She is the one who will always be there for you.
She is the one who will love you with all of her heart and I mean the real you, the good, the bad, the ugly and every other parts of you.
She is the one who will show you what love is, what it really is.
She is the one that will not only make you fall in love with herself but also with yourself.
She is the one who will know you better than anyone else and sometimes she will know you even better than you know yourself.
She is the one who will take your breath away every single day.
She is the one that will never cease to surprise you.
She is the one that will notice every little things you do.
She is the one who will give you some space if you need some, but also know when to be there even if you say “go away.”
She is the one that will let you be with your friends when you want to be with them because she knows better than anyone that friendships are important.
She is the one that will support you throughout your life, whatever decisions you make, she will support you.
She is the one that will not follow you, but instead stand by your side.
She is the one that will be your best friend and the love of your life at the same time.
She is the one that will understand you, even when you’re not making any sense.
She is the one who will stay even when it’s hard. But if you’re not the one for her then she’ll know to let go.
She is the one, but you probably don’t know it yet because she’s hidden in the crowd.
She’s right there, right in front of you, but you’ve never seen her because you’re too busy looking for all the wrong things in all the wrong people. One day, hopefully you’ll be able to see her for what she really is and maybe you’ll be able to be the one for her.
