7. They are loyal and dedicated to working things out. You know that you won’t scare them off just because of one dumb fight a small disagreement. They invest intentionally, and won’t write you off if you actually work on fixing things.

8. They aren’t possessive and encourage your independence. If you want to hang out with another friend, they aren’t going to give you grief over it. They have their own life.

9. They inspire you. Not because they force you to, but because they are actually admirable people who get things done. They inspire you to be better and encourage you in the process.
