You Have To Tell Her You Want Her, Or She’s Going To Walk Away

girl who will walk away

She’s not a mind reader, you know. I mean sure, you both have a connection that feels so intense it’s overwhelming, but it doesn’t mean she knows exactly what you’re thinking.

She can see the way you look at her when you’re in the same room. She pays attention to the way you laugh, the things you say, the way your body language changes when she’s standing close to you- she picks up on the signals. And in return, she has been giving them right back- the way she flirts with you, compliments you, and even gives you her complete attention. It’s becoming clear that you two have something, but defining it isn’t really possible.

Because she also sees the way you flirt with other girls. She feels the distance when you vanish for a few days with no explanation. She knows when you’re pushing her away every time you think she’s getting a little too close. She picks up on these signs just as strongly as the others- maybe even more so. It’s left her in a state of confusion- one that she doesn’t know how to escape.

She’s at the point where she analyzed every message, poured over every moment in her mind, searching for some sort of clarity, some light at the end of the tunnel. Yet the truth is, she’s completely exhausted, and she’s come to the end of her rope. She’s not going to hold on much longer for you.

So if you want her, you have to tell her. Now.

Not later. Not tomorrow. Not next month when the timing is better. Not some vague future that involves you exploring your options and her sitting around waiting for you. You have to go find her and tell her, now.

Because she has waited for you.

She has given you every chance to open up and tell her how you’re feeling or what you’re thinking. Instead, you keep choosing flirtatious lines and mind games because you feel more secure. You keep building up your walls to keep her out, despite that you have no problem with drawing her in.

Don’t you know you’re not the only one looking her way? Don’t you know she has other opportunities to explore, just like you? She isn’t desperate for you- she wants you. It’s not that she doesn’t have any other choices- you’re just the one she keeps choosing.

Yet soon enough, she is going to stop choosing you. She isn’t going to wait around anymore for someone who can’t gather up the courage to admit that he wants her just as much as she wants him. She has to know that you’re both on the same page, and she isn’t going to spend an eternity trying to puzzle it out from your facial expressions and text messages.

So what are you waiting for? Go tell her.

It’s all she really wants. TC mark

Poetry That Will Empower and Inspire You

Salt Water, the new poetry collection by Brianna Wiest, is a must-have book on your journey to healing. Grab a cup of tea and let these essential, purifying prose calm your mind and filter out the noise.

Salt Water is a slow deep breath, in and out. It sits in a new genre of poetry, somewhere between artistic self-expression and candid self-help. It is a meditation on acceptance, growth, and what it means to be human. Salt Water is the note you wrote to yourself years ago, which you find again when you most need it, that reminds you ‘it’s going to be okay.’”
—Lee Crutchley, Author of “How To Be Happy, Or At Least Less Sad”

“I love reading quotes from other writers, philosophers, opened minds, etc. I think everyone has a quote that has ignited something within them — a quote that has stirred their heart and inspired their creativity. A good quote can make me write for hours, I think that is why I find reading so integral when it comes to art. It opens up the worlds inside of you.” — Bianca Sparacino
