Starting Over May Be Hard, But It’s Worth It

Starting over isn’t easy. We hold on to things because they are familiar. Sometimes it’s all we know. We struggle to let go of relationships, friendships, jobs, and places. It’s hard to say goodbye to the life we know.

But sometimes it’s worth it.

Sometimes starting over is our only option. Sometimes it is the only way to have the life you deserve. Even if it breaks your heart, we need to let go.

We must move on in order to grow. And it’s scary. One must take the leap of faith. And know that the potential for happiness can outweigh the negative and scary thoughts and feelings.

If you’re struggling to say goodbye to something that is weighing you down, know that there is strength in the struggle. There is beauty in starting over. The pure fact that we are able to pick up and leave, change our lives at any instant, is beautiful in itself.

So if you’ve been weighing down options, considering taking the leap of faith. Just do it. Know that it won’t be easy. But sometimes we need to do what’s scary. We need to try things. Because you’ll never know if you don’t try, right?

Go on that job interview. Look into moving across the country. Let go of that one-sided friendship. Leave that toxic relationship. Don’t continue to be weighed down by negativity.

Instead, take chances. Open yourself to opportunities. The possibilities are infinite. And you never know where life can take you.

Starting over is scary. It’s leaving what you know and not knowing what will happen. It’s not knowing if you are making the right choice. Hoping that it will be. But, you never know if you don’t try.

If you are unhappy where you are. Don’t stay. Take opportunities. Take many. Live the life you’ve always wanted. All it takes is that first step.
