Listen To Lana Del Rey’s Haunting New Song ‘Honeymoon’

Lana Del Rey has released a lyric video of “Honeymoon,” the first single from her upcoming LP with the same name.

The grainy ’70s style video begins by showing Lana laying in the grass next to a busy road then fades to white noise before introducing a sheet of the song’s lyrics.

Slow and cinematic, “Honeymoon” is reminiscent of Lana’s past releases, romanticizing California’s famed streets of noir and nostalgia, singing about the possibilities of a dreamy, complicated love.

“We both know that it’s not fashionable to love me but you don’t go cause truly there’s nobody for you but me,” she sings. “We could cruise to the blues, Wilshire Boulevard if we choose. Or whatever you want to do. We make the rules.”

Lana revealed the sound of her new album earlier this year when she spoke to Billboard. “It’s very different from the last one and similar to the first two, Born to Die and Paradise,” she said. “It’s growing into something I really like. I’m kind of enjoying sinking into this more noirish feel for this one. It’s been good.”
