Move over Beyonce. There’s a new queen in town. She’s tiny, she wears hot pink lipstick, and she may or may not be in middle school. 11-year-old Sophia Grace just dropped the hottest female empowerment song of the year.
If you aren’t familiar with Sophia, the little rap starlet got attention a few years ago when she could effortlessly perform Nicki Minaj’s “Super Bass” at 8-years-old, and even performed with Nicki on The Ellen Show.
In “Best Friends” Sophia sings, “who’s my #1 girl?” and in the video she’s straight up living that pre-teen life, slumber party and all. In the chorus she sings,
Stupid boys come around/ Me and my girls shut em down/ Nobody can stop us now/ Women take over we run this town.
I dare you to listen to this song and not immediately get the lyrics stuck in your head.
