You Are Enough

By

(Not) Good enough. What does that actually mean? Who decides worth: of me, of you, of anyone?

It should seem obvious that we be the sole humans deciding our own worth, yet so many of us are lead to believe worth comes from external sources.

Our inner critic may tell us that we are enough…if only we had stopped ourselves from eating that extra pizza slice last night or hadn’t gotten fired from that job that was unfulfilling but provided income and comfort.

Where does this judgement come from? Why does our external appearance or what job we possess dictate worth?

That’s the thing though, it doesn’t (or at least doesn’t have to).

Self-love or ‘enoughness’ comes from within.

Separate from what the media/popular culture tells us we should be, a positive and reaffirming soundtrack of love for ones being can exist. Cultivation of this love and compassion is enough. Practicing building yourself up is enough. A smile through pain is enough.

Deciding that you are enough is more than enough.
