A Reminder For When You Feel Alone

A Reminder For When You Feel Alone

I want you to know that you are not alone.

When you are feeling broken-hearted, I want you to know that you are not alone. Some of the most loving people in the world have been broken, time and again, before they found a love that felt like home. They put their heart on the line, they bared the most precious parts of their soul, and still—they were walked away from.

What set them apart was their belief that each heartbreak would lead them to something better.

When you are feeling like a failure, I want you to know that you are not alone. Some of the most brilliant thinkers and doers in the world failed, time and again, before they succeeded. They poured all of their energy into their ideas, they worked as hard as they could, and still—they were rejected.

What set them apart was their determination to try again.

When you are feeling soul-crushing sadness, I want you to know that you are not alone. Some of the happiest people in the world have had joy stripped from their bones, time and again, before they found renewed pleasure in simply existing. They savored every moment, they focused on the positives, and still—happiness was seized from their control.

What set them apart was their faith that the sun always returns after darkness has passed.

When you are feeling like you can’t go on, I want you to know that you are not alone. Some of the most driven people in the world have felt like they could not bear another step forward, time and again, before realizing that their path needed to be walked. They trusted that the universe didn’t want them to hurt, they believed that the people they cared about the most would be in their lives forever, and still—they experienced gut-wrenching loss.

What set them apart was their hope for a better tomorrow.

When you are feeling lost, I want you to know that you are not alone. Some of the most confident people in the world have been overtaken by confusion, time and again, before figuring out where they were headed. They studied every map, they followed words of wisdom, and still—they were left questioning their purpose.

What set them apart was their trust that everything would work out for the best.

I want you to know that you are not alone.

Each heartbreak will lead you to something better, as it has done for others before.

You will have the determination to try again, just like others before.

The sun will return after the darkness has passed, as it has for others before.

You will find the hope for a better tomorrow, just like others before.

Everything will work out for the best, as it has done for others before. Thought Catalog Logo Mark
