When You Fall, You Can Always Get Back Up

By

As members of today’s society, I understand that it is  difficult to know what the world expects of us. Things seem to change every day, and it can be hard to keep up.

As humans, we naturally aim to please and want to perform at the highest level without disappointing anyone. However, I know that as people with flaws, we are bound to make mistakes from time to time. Often, the mistakes that we make leave us feeling guilty and perhaps less suited for our role in life. This feeling can leave us feeling empty and depressed. As a result, we may become unmotivated or more likely to slack off with our work.

I know life can be hard, but the good news is that the feelings never last forever. Once we learn from our mistakes and learn the proper techniques, we tend to move on and continue chasing the perfection we all thirst for. The only problem is that the thirst is unquenchable. We will never be able to get what we are chasing essentially because a perfect person does not exist.

God created us all with a unique plan and purpose, and during our time on Earth, we certainly try to satisfy His requirements and keep the bar raised. However, falling down is something that is bound to happen eventually. It is just a part of the package.

During our journey on Earth, we try as hard as we can to show the world how hard we work and how valuable our traits are, both in our home and our work life. We do our absolute best to handle both our hardships and our joys. Sometimes we are going to cry out for help. We cry so hard that our tears blur our vision. We are going to scream out in frustration when we don’t understand why the feelings of stress are consuming us.

However, there is a great sense of solace knowing that once the frustration passes, we will rise again. We will begin to appreciate the people and sights around us once again. We will rise and prove that our strength is something to be reckoned with. We will learn once again that our strength is our anchor, and it will always lift us to the surface once the turbulent times have knocked us around.

Life’s issues will indeed knock you over, perhaps even knocking the wind out of you, but it is how you get up again that matters most in the end. Life sometimes seems like it’s never ending, but one day our curtain call will come, and we have to think about how we want to be remembered. We have to be reminded of our impact and purpose in order to reignite that spark inside of us. We have to work hard not to let our light dim in the background and make sure no one can dull our sparkle. It’s not an easy feat, but I have confidence that we will all shine our light around the world and make a desired difference.

Don’t quit. Don’t give up. You can do it!
