Plug in your iPod, and crank those tunes. Dance however you want to dance, and do it as if no one is watching. Nicki Minaj, Ke$ha, Beyonce, and Pink are a few of my favorites that get me in a good mood.

2. Make a to-do list…and actually cross every item off.

Making to-do lists makes me feel like I have purpose, and actually accomplishing each item on the list and crossing them off makes me feel like a superhero. It’s all in a day’s work.

3. Match your bra and underwear.

By wearing underwear that matches your bra, you are wielding a secret weapon. For some unexplainable, satisfying reason, it gives you the kind of confidence boost that nothing else can. It’s almost like you’re daring the world to mess with, but it won’t because your bra and underwear match, you fabulous woman.

4. Do something nice and unexpected for a roommate, friend, or family member.

I find that doing nice things for others without expecting anything in return really makes me feel good. I feel like I can do anything when I see someone smile and know that I’m the reason behind it.

5. Cook yourself a nice dinner…

….and then order yourself a pizza when you botch that/burn it all to hell. You get the satisfaction of knowing you tried, and then the satisfaction of eating that delicious pizza.

6. Dress up.

Wake up a little bit earlier for work or class and do just a little bit extra to really glam yourself up. You’d be surprised the boost of energy and positive attitude it’ll give you.

7. Compliment someone…and actually mean it.

People can tell when you’re genuine. Make ‘em smile. Make someone’s day. Karma knows what it’s doing.

8. Compliment yourself.

It’s okay to compliment yourself too. Stand in front of your mirror and tell yourself that your eyes are beautiful/you love the way that sweater fits/that color looks great on you, etc.
Alright, girl…get out there and rule the world today. Thought Catalog Logo Mark
