When It’s Time To Move On, I Hope You Let Go

By

Sometimes, we wake up and realize: This is not where I want to be in my life. As your anxiety builds, you wonder how you ever got to this point. It wasn’t anything major that happened, just little things, like cracks in a foundation, where eventually everything crumbled through. As you consider the different aspects of your life, you find so many things you want to change and don’t know how. Then the panic sets in.

As you calm your breath and center your mind, you slowly meditate to bring yourself to alignment in order to think clearly again. The mind quiets, and looking within, we listen to the silence. What does it want to say?

After a few moments, think about all the things in your life that you are grateful for. It sounds cheesy at first, but really try to think about it. Who are the people in your life that you love and appreciate? What in your life gives you joy right now? There are always things to be grateful for, and while it may seem trite, this is a major step to get your life to move in the direction you want it to go. You’re not a victim—you’re the one in control.

By focusing on the positive aspects of our lives, we give up resisting so much and instead notice how much life has provided for us. In the Tao te Ching, it says:

“Nothing in the world

is as soft and yielding as water.

Yet for dissolving the hard and inflexible,

nothing can surpass it.”

By relaxing and letting go, we allow ourselves to be in harmony with life. If we move like a cool creek flowing through life and let things happen more naturally, everything eventually falls into place. Your timing with things will feel synchronistic and strangely clairvoyant. You’ll slowly start to get more satisfaction out of life by living more in the present and appreciating where you’re at, and trusting that you’re closer to where you want to go.

By quieting your mind and listening to your intuition about what to do, you’ll get more happiness out of life like never before. We all have an inner voice that, if we’re peaceful enough, we can tap into and find out what we can do to get the most joy out of life and the path to lead us to the most satisfaction. By listening to it, we can relax more and enjoy all of life’s moments as they come to us.
