What I’ve learned is that you can be actively grieving but still enjoy your life. You can be happy and laugh. You can succeed, move on.
The lights just don’t seem to shine the same without Dad.
I still pick up the phone to call you. I still forget that we don’t have you.
We always want to feel that someone is on our side. That someone is supporting us, rooting for us, and helping us along. Many times, we want to feel like the universe does.
Forgive yourself. You’ve been through hell and back. And you’re still here.
To the girl who is feeling lonely: Forgive yourself. Have compassion for yourself. Love yourself.
Anxiety is more than the made up scenarios.
I’m more than my pain.
It’s okay if you talk about your dad in general. Again, if he’s here, let’s talk about him. The good, the bad, the annoying. Let’s talk about it all.
