For All The Independent Girls Waiting For Love

I know how you’re feeling.

Constantly wondering when it will be your turn to find love. You see hundreds of girls in their cute relationships and all you can think is that you wish you had something like that. You see girls who have had more boyfriends in the past month than boys you’ve “talked” to or dated in the past years.

When you see these kinds of things constantly, you begin to wonder what is wrong with you. Nothing is wrong with you, you’re just an independent girl who’s waiting for the right kind of love and that’s both powerful and intimidating at the same time.

You’re independent, and that scares guys. A girl who isn’t afraid to do things on her own or doesn’t need the confirmation from a guy to know she is an amazing, strong woman. But that’s just it, you don’t need a man in your life, but it would be nice to have to stop figuring out if this guy or the next guy is the right one.

You become confused and question whether or not you will ever be worth it to a guy or if someone will want you back the way you want them, trust me I know, but the right one will come when God believes it’s time.

There is someone out there for you, someone that will prove to you why all of the other guys didn’t work out. I know you feel like you never get the chance you want with someone because there is always another girl who is more secure when she has a guy and that’s easier for a man to be with than someone who’s independence scares them. When the right guy will come along, you’ll know.

He won’t run when you try to use your independence as a wall, he’ll keep breaking it until you finally trust him enough. He won’t care that you come off intimidating to him, he’ll find it empowering and inspiring. He’ll understand, he’ll be there, and he won’t give up or walk away like the others.

When you find someone, it will make sense, everything will just come together. I know you’re wondering when that person is going to come and it sometimes keeps you awake at night, but I promise one day you’ll find a guy who is brave enough to give you a shot. You deserve the most happiness. In the midst of all this time you’ve spent wondering and waiting on when he’s coming, he’ll come, and probably when you least expect it.

But until he comes, just know you are a beautiful woman with a big heart. You’re independence is strong and inspiring. That boy who never texted you back sucks anyways and you deserve more than someone like that. And any boy who tries to make you feel like you need him in your life, isn’t worth your time.

Never forget who you truly are or lose sight of yourself because you feel lonely. We all feel that way sometimes, but you’re worth so much more than text to hang out late at night and you’re worth so much more than someone who isn’t willing to fight for an actual relationship with you.

Just remember, you are an independent woman, who don’t need no man (at least until you find the right one).
