Sometimes The Truth Just Hurts

By

How is it that sometimes we know the answer we truly know the answer to the question we have in our head about someone we obviously care for so much, but we don’t ask the question? We don’t want to know the answer, because sometimes the truth hurts.

It cuts like a knife and maybe we don’t want to know that the person we thought all along really had our best interest at heart only to find only had their own. We don’t want to know because words take those thoughts that were once swirling in our minds and make them real.

There are many times in past situations where I knew the answer, and it wasn’t a good one, but I was so afraid to ask the person directly because I kind of like not knowing, keeping hope that maybe things would change.

We all sometimes just give it some time in hope that maybe things will change. Maybe that person will realize, but truth is maybe they won’t. People don’t change unless there is a reason too, a real reason too. And if you remain the person you are and you see that change is needed and they don’t want to see that or how they treat you, how well you may treat them, how much you want to show them how much you want things to work, they won’t ever see.

So if you want to know the truth, just ask, don’t wait around for someone to tell you and if you want to know what someone thinks or feels just ask them.

If you want to try, then try so at the end of the day if the answer isn’t what you really wanted, at least you can say you gave it your all even if it was too late. This way you then will know where you stand. At least THEN you can stand on your own two feet and walk away.

And if you are one of those people who know you are doing someone wrong, then say something because you never know what the other person could be missing out on while they continue to hold on to something they believe could change.

Don’t be afraid to ask, don’t be afraid to try, don’t be afraid to apologize, don’t be afraid to forgive but if you believe in something, I say go for it, give it all you have even if it might be too late.

Don’t give up.
