How often do we feel the spoken and unspoken question asked, “Who are you to suffer–who are you to cry trauma or claim hardship–when there’s x y and z happening in the world?”
When you travel alone there are no promises. There is no betrayal. There is no guilt. There is no obligation. There is no ownership. There is no dependence.
If you fall off the wagon at one point or another–as we all undoubtedly will, say to yourself gently, “how human of me?” Then take a deep breath and remember that every day is a new day–each breath is another chance to begin again.
