The Ultimate Playlist For Valentine’s And Snow Days – Whether You’re Alone Or Not

Between another ridiculous winter storm making the east coast its bitch and Valentine’s Day tomorrow, there are (if you allow yourself to notice them) quite a few ways right now for your relationship status to feel more noticeable and intensified than usual; If you’re with someone, you’ve had a warm body to hibernate with while the weather is nightmarish. The frozen hellscape has become your excuse to stay in together, which is arguably much better than going out.

On the other hand, snow days can also be the absolute most romantic time to be single too. You get to stay home and do all the alone shit that you love to do. There is no better way to get wrapped up in self-love (not like that. Okay, maybe for part of the day.) than being barricaded into your apartment by yourself and just doing you for a more extended period of time than you normally give yourself. It’s restorative like nothing else.

Also, Valentine’s Day. People get feelings about that sometimes. I promise you: This is the only playlist that will both make you feel extra in love if you’re that, but won’t make you needlessly feel lonely and excluded if you’re single because anything that makes you feel like that is bullshit and you won’t hear it from me.

Whichever of those scenarios applies most aptly to your life this week/end, this playlist is perfect background music. This is the kind of playlist you can put on in the background on a loop all day as you catch up on all the chores you haven’t had time for; it’s an ideal soundtrack for leisurely, we’re-not-going-anywhere-anytime-soon, snowed-in sex; it works flawlessly to listen to when your friends brave the walk over to your place for wine and company.
