This Is The Reason Obama Said Being President Was The Greatest ‘Privilege Of His Life’

President Obama gave his final speech as President in a private address to the Marines at Hawaii’s Kaneohe Bay on Christmas Day.

Accompanied by First Lady Michelle Obama, the President gave a heartfelt farewell to the Marines in attendance stating that serving as the Commander-In-Chief of America’s armed forces was the “privilege of my life.”

President Obama also reminded the audience that many members of the armed forces were spending the holiday in war zones in Afghanistan and Iraq and wouldn’t be able to see their families and to remember what they’re sacrificing.

He closed by pledging to continue his support for the people of the armed forces.

“Although this will be my last time addressing you as President, I want you to know that, as a citizen, my gratitude will remain and our commitment to standing by you every step of the way, that won’t stop.”
